Aaron Young graduated from the University of Utah in May 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering. During his undergraduate career, Aaron helped start the Utah Robotic Mining Project, which is now Utah Student Robotics, the largest robotics club at the U. He received his Master’s Degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2017 in the area of automatic sorting by dual energy X-ray transmission. He expects to finish his PhD in Mining Engineering at the University of Utah later this year. Aaron is a former intern with OSISoft and has experience using the PI system to develop analytical tools both at the University of Utah and for the Barrick gold mining company in Nevada.
