Tom Mistretta is a Director of Data Science, leading a team that is advancing the digital transformation of drug substance engineering business processes through the application of data science, analytics, and modeling.

Tom has had various roles of increasing responsibility in process development, focused on providing commercial support for process monitoring, technology transfers, and yield improvement initiatives. In 2015, Tom assumed responsibility for leading a team that provides monitoring, analytics, and engineering support to the global drug substance manufacturing network at Amgen. He also was the business lead for an information systems transformation initiative that has implemented advanced technologies and capabilities for accessing Amgen’s operations data. Tom has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. in Engineering Management from Northeastern University.
